On Sunday, August 9, people witnessed a blaze of fire at a printing press in the Ulhasnagar press bazaar. Firefighters were called in immediately. However, due to the scale of fire spread, it took nine hours to completely douse the flames.

The fire was completely put out by Monday morning, August 10. This incident took place at the Roshan printing press which is located on the ground floor in a four-storey building nestled at the Shivaji Chowk in Ulhasnagar’s press bazaar, at around 10.45 pm on Sunday, when the shop was not operational. Fortunately, as a result, no one was injured in the incident.

According to sources, at least five water tankers were used to douse the flames. Moreover, two fire tenders each from Ambernath and Kalyan were also deployed. However, the cause of the fire is unknown as of now.

The entire area of the press bazaar has several printing shops that sell various kinds of cards, including wedding invitation and business cards. The shop which was already old has now been completely ravaged by the flames. Even though the fire has been brought under control early morning, the cooling process is still in progress.

This is a developing story. Will be updated as more information is made available.
