Fire breaks out at Versova fish market

On Tuesday, after the blaze of fire being reported in Navi Mumbai, a major fire was reported at the Versova fish market in Mumbai.

On Tuesday, February 9, a level two fire broke out in Versova, Mumbai. Moreover, this incident was reported in a four-storeyed building near the fish market.


According to reports, the blaze was reported at around 2:45 pm and was doused at around 3:00 pm. On the other hand, the building in which the fire was caught was reportedly opposite Shiv Sena’s building.

Meanwhile, several shops and stores have reportedly been gutted in the fire, however, no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained as cooling operations are still underway.

Earlier on Tuesday, a major fire was reported in Navi Mumbai at a chemical factory in Taloja area. The incident took place around 12 pm at a chemical company as it spread to other places gradually. As per the locals, blasts were heard from the chemical factory as soon as the fire broke out.

Moreover, massive clouds of grey smoke were reported in the area due to the fire. In addition, several fire engines and water tankers have rushed to the spot in order to douse the fire. However, no injuries have been reported so far.
