In a recurring phenomenon, a fire broke out on Sunday mid-night in Malad’s Malvani area while the reason for the incident is not known, there was no casualty reported. In order to get the fire under control, nine motor pumps and eight water tankers were sent to the incident site.
The fire is under control now and the debris is being removed now. No casualty has been reported as of now,” Deputy Chief Fire Officer VN Panigrihi informed.

This is the second fire incident in Malad during the course of this month. Earlier on Sunday afternoon, a fire broke out in a slum near Kharodi Lake Malvani-1 premises. The fire spread in no time affecting the neighbouring slums.
