After a fire broke out in a building near Kamala Mills compound on December 29 and was controlled after four fire engines were pressed into service, an event of similar kind took place at Worli's Sadhana House in the evening. The ground floor of the office caught fire and the reason behind the outbreak is presumed to be a short circuit.

Accordingly, as soon as the incident took place, the Mumbai Fire Brigade Department dispatched 12 fire engines which were successful in dousing the fire after relentless efforts for almost two hours. Luckily, the fire caused no casualties and all the people were rescued safely.

Last year, on December 29, a major fire was reported at two rooftop restaurants -- Mojo's Bistro and '1 Above' -- in the Kamala Mills compound, claiming 14 lives and many were injured.

The four-storeyed building was engulfed in fire after the fire broke out at the ground floor due to a short circuit. The firefighters had a hard time dousing the fire due to the smoke arousing around the building.

Meanwhile, the building consisted of various offices and there was a Reliance office as well. Since it was a Saturday, the majority of employees were not present in the office. Currently, the electric supply of the city has been shut down temporarily.
