The overall analysis found that there was a decrease in road traffic deaths between 2015 and 2019. Moreover, figures from 2019 show that 447 people died as a result of road accidents in the city. This was a reduction of 3 per cent as compared to the statistics from 2018 and a 47 per cent fall compared to the numbers from 2015.

On the other hand, back on November 26, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation’s (MSRTC) bus which was en route Mumbai from Panvel met with an accident. According to sources, the bus was coming from Satara to Mumbai. At that time, a heavy vehicle like a trailer or a truck hit the ST.
