A gas cylinder blast took place inside a locked room in Sion Koliwada near Mhada colony, Ambedkar Nagar slums on Monday, December 21 around 11:30 am.
According to reports, the Wadala TT police and fire department immediately rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.The reason of the blast is yet to be known. The investigation is underway, said officials.
However, no casualties have been reported in the incident, so far.
Meanwhile, a similar cylindrical blast occurred in a closed flat in Thane’s Rabodi area on Friday morning, November 27. However, no casualty was reported as the flat was vacant at the time of blast.
