Water tankers supplying water to various places in Mumbai have caused immense inconvenience to the people as they have stopped the water supply at various places in the city. Mangal Prabhat Lodha, guardian minister of Mumbai suburban district, has appealed to the tanker association that these tanker owners should immediately start supplying water to the people. In this regard, he discussed with the representatives of Water Tanker Association of Mumbai (WTAM) during the meeting held at Mantralaya. The association is seeking changes in the guidelines issued by the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA).

Guardian Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha discussed the occasion with Mumbai Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal and Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar over phone and directed them to take necessary action for immediate resumption of water supply to the people.

Tankers in Mumbai have suddenly stopped supplying water to people without prior notice to the government. Due to this, people are facing a lot of trouble in the areas where water is supplied through tankers. Minister Mangal Pratap Lodha had a telephonic discussion with the representatives of the association.
