On Monday, the Western Railway (WR) said that the Marine Lines south Foot Over Bridge (FOB) will be closed from February 15. This FOB connects platform No. 2/3 and 4 at the south side and is also directly connected to Marine Lines Rail Over Bridge (ROB) from which passengers enter the station.
The WR said that this FOB will be dismantled and a new FOB will be rebuilt at the same location.

As per the press release issued by Sumit Thakur - Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the Marine Lines south FOB has completed its codal life and in order to undertake the dismantling and rebuilding work, the FOB will be closed for public use between February 15 and November 30.

To interchange between platform No. 4 to PF No. 2/3 or vice versa, passengers can make use of the other two FOBs at Marine Lines station, i.e. Middle and North side FOBs.

He said an opening will be provided for passengers entering from Marine Lines ROB at the booking office at platform No. 1 where passengers can enter the station or passengers can use the staircase from ROB near platform No. 4 to enter the station at platform No. 4.
