Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT)- Panvel bound train was set on fire on Wednesday, October 9. It was at 9:32 am when the train left from CSMT and was set on fire at Vashi station.

The cause of the fire is yet unknown and no injuries have been reported. As the incident took place during peak hours, there was a huge crowd of people in Vashi station.
Recently, one of the engines of Nagpur-Mumbai Nandigram Express caught fire on October 4. Due to this, the train had to take a halt for more than four hours at Deulgaon Avchar village in Parbhani district of Maharashtra.

Update: Train catches fire due to a discarded bag which was thrown on the rake by an unknown person on the pantograph of the train.
