Even though it is raining occasionally in Mumbai and surrounding areas, people are still troubled by the heat. The Meteorological Department has said that the outbreak of heatwave will continue in Mumbai and Thane cities till next Saturday. The Santacruz observatory in Mumbai recorded a maximum temperature of 36.9 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 28 degrees Celsius yesterday, Thursday. Mumbai's temperature was recorded at 33.9 degrees Celsius on Wednesday at the Santacruz observatory.



Compared to Wednesday, the temperature of the city increased by more than 2 to 2.5 degrees on Thursday. In Mumbai, the Colaba area recorded 79 percent humidity, while the Santacruz area recorded 72 percent. Yesterday's temperature in Mumbai was the second highest for May in the last 10 years.

The city of Mumbai on Thursday felt like it was 40 degrees Celsius, though the temperature was currently recorded at 36.9 degrees Celsius due to high humidity. Mumbai, Thane and the entire Konkan are likely to experience heat wave conditions till May 14 due to increase in maximum temperature and moist air.
