A hemo dialysis centre would soon be started in the Trauma Care Hospital in Jogeshwari which will provide relief to the patients suffering from kidney-related diseases.
The hospital administration has informed that a large number of kidney patients will be benefitted of this facility. This costly service is not affordable for common people.
When asked to chief medical officer Shashikant Wadekar, he informed that the hospital will soon start the dialysis facility. A place has been fixed for this facility where 10 machines will be kept for patients’ convenience. A proposal in this regard will be sent to the higher ups. A joint venture programme will be implemented as the project is a big one, he added.
A complaint about non-availability of hemodialysis in Jogeshwari was registered with local MLA and minister of state for housing Ravindra Waikar. A meeting with the Trauma Care Hospital officials was held to discuss various facilities for local residents.
Wadekar also claimed that all important machines like Sonography, X-ray, ICU, Cityscan are available in the hospital.
It would be interesting to see whether this hospital implements such a big project.
