HindAyan Foundation will be organising various bicycle campaigns from February 10 to March 3 at various places across the country to bring the cycle campaigns to the masses. Among them, a cycle drive from Thane to Mumbai will be held on February 17 and on the same day, a five-km cycle drive for school students will also be organised in collaboration with the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC). 

A press conference was organised at the municipal headquarters on Tuesday to inform about these campaigns. Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner (2) Prashant Rode and HindAyan Foundation Coordinator Vishnudas Chapke were present. On this occasion, Prashant Rode informed that these campaigns will be given full support.

The HindAyan cycle campaigns have been awarded by the Union Ministry of Youth Welfare and Sports under the Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat initiative. Teams of Indian Army and Navy also participated in last year's campaign. Vishnudas Chapke, coordinator of HindaAyan Foundation informed that the campaign will pass through the cities of New Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Thane, Mumbai and Pune.

All professional cyclists are invited to participate in various cycling campaigns. Professional cyclists will be able to participate in three races each from Delhi to Agra – Yamuna Expressway (220 km), Mumbai – Pune Old Highway and 100 km each. Also, others can participate in different cycle missions i.e from Thane to Mumbai- via Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Mumbai to Vashi, Lonavla to Pune and Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar.

Similarly, as suggested by the Ministry of Youth Welfare and Sports, cycle drives will also be organised for school children. Thane Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar has also given a positive response to it. Therefore, on February 17, Chapke said that a five-km cycle drive will be organised for students studying in Thane Municipal Schools.

There are no long-distance cycling expeditions or races in India. Chapke explained that these races and campaigns are being organised by HindAyan with the aim of giving that opportunity to the cyclists here.
