A fire broke out in the Acorina Casorina building, located in the high-rise neighbourhood of Godrej Hills area in Kalyan. As per reports, the fire was confined to the fourth floor of the building which is considered to be in the upscale settlement of locality.
Information received from the sources states that the horrific incident that took place in a matter of minutes, whereby the entire house caught fire due to a technical failure in the AC. This was installed in the bedroom of this house and caught fire due to technical malfunction, and the blaze escalated through the flat.
The members of the house immediately evacuated the building and informed the fire brigade.
Reports also state that the fire escalated from the gallery of this flat to upper floors, causing panic among other residents. However, the fire-fighters arrived at the spot on time and doused the fire.
Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.
