Various multi-storey construction sites on Andheri’s Link Road near Star Bazar have been demolished after the construction was found to be unauthorised. Out of the unauthorised sites, nine of them were two-floored whereas the rest of them had only one floor ready.
Meanwhile, due to the demolition process, the entire road was blocked and traffic was stuck for a long time. Over the past years, 13 illegal constructions have been built near the Bandra-Dahisar Link Road and all of them have been for commercial use.
Accordingly, a raid to demolish all these construction sites was organised and it is expected now, that the traffic near Link Road will get rid of congestion.
