The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIADI) has issued a warning that on the use of laminated Aadhaar card, it can attract hackers leading to data leak.

What is the reason?

Aadhar card is used as address proof and is considered to be the most important document to confirm the identity of the person. A lot of people laminate their Aadhaar cards to avoid the misuse and misplacement of the card. But according to the UIADI officials, laminated Aadhar cards give a way to QR code and can be hacked easily.

UIADI CEO Ajay Bhushan Pandey said that people should use Aadhar card which is printed on paper. Pandey added that people who are caught misusing the Aadhaar card will be held guilty.
