Post the Kamala Mills fire incident, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) started razing illegal hotels and restaurants. So far, the civic body has sealed 55 illegal restaurants, cross-checked 2,5000 hotels and razed 913 hotels.

From December 30, 2017, the BMC started razing and cross-checking restaurants if they have breached the rules or not. In total, out of 2,568 hotels, the civic body sealed 55 hotels. Other than this, the BMC razed 913 illegal hotels, pubs and gymnasiums and sent notices to 718 hotels ordering them to make necessary alterations to their structures.

These hotels were sealed

G/South ward’s food link restaurant, Bandra's H/West ward’s Lazeez, AntiSOCIAL, Wanton House, Zaffran and Marks and Spencer, B ward’s Hadiya Sweets And Bakery.
