The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has recently released data indicating that the seven drinking water reservoirs supplying Mumbai are currently at 29.72% of their combined water storage capacity. These reservoirs are Tulsi, Tansa, Vihar, Bhatsa, Modak Sagar, Upper Vaitarna, and Middle Vaitarna. They play a crucial role in meeting the city's water needs.

Water levels in the individual reservoirs vary. Tansa stands at 56.09% of its capacity. Modak Sagar has 53.72% of its water stock available. Middle Vaitarna currently holds 42.40% useful water level, and Upper Vaitarna has 6.71%. Bhatsa has 22.92%, Vihar has 45.71%, and Tulsi stands at 64.41%.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) also predicts "light to moderate spells of rain" for Mumbai and its surrounding areas for today, July 14. Recent rainfall data reveals that in the past 24 hours, Mumbai City has received 53.54 mm of rain. Whereas, the eastern and western suburbs received 25.06 mm and 26.23 mm of rain, respectively.
