Soon, tourists and visitors will be able to enjoy the laser show at Girgaon Chowpatty. A water curtain will also be installed to attract tourists. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has estimated around Rs 2.5 crore for the installation and maintenance work and tenders have been invited for the same.

The BMC has undertaken the 'Mumbai Beautification Programme', under which, the city's flyovers, traffic islands and beaches will be illuminated and roads and dividers will be repaired and painted. Wall painting will also be done on major roads of the city. Thousands of community toilets will also be built in Mumbai. The forts of Bandra, Mahim, Sewri and Sion will be illuminated.

850 parks in Mumbai will undergo repairs and maintenance. The BMC is going to spend about Rs. 1705 crore for this project. The laser show in Girgaon Chowpatty will be made like that of ones in Singapore and Bangkok.
