Kurla - A young woman had to lose her life as she came under a local train after being pushed by a chain-snatcher at Kurla railway station on Tuesday night. According to information, deceased Sapna Shukla was standing on platform no. 1 of Kurla railway station waiting for the train. Suddenly, one Shubhashish Charan Malik snatched her chain and pushed her vehemently as a result of which Sapna fell on the track and came under the train. Sapna sustained critical injuries in the incident and was immediately rushed to Sion Hospital for treatment but she succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment. Police have arrested the accused who claimed that he had come to Mumbai a month back to find a job and was wishing to go home in Odisha. As he had no money to buy a return ticket, Shubhashish tried his hand in chain-snatching that led the innocent to lose her life, informed police inspector Ashok Borde.
