The revised budget for the year 2022-23 and the budget for the year 2023-2024 of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) were recently submitted to the authority. The authority has recently approved a budget of INR 10186.73 crore for the year 2023-2024 and a revised budget of INR 6933.82 crore for the year 2022-2023. The budget for 2023-2024 shows zero deficit while the revised budget for 2022-2023 shows a deficit of INR 1136.47 crore.
A total of 12,724 flats are proposed to be constructed across regional boards
It is proposed to construct 2152 flats under the Mumbai Board in the coming financial year. For this, a provision of 3664.18 crore has been made in the budget of the year 2023-24. The board has made a provision of INR 2285 crore for the redevelopment scheme of BDD Chawls. INR 24 crore for housing scheme at Antop Hill Wadala, INR 30 crore for Bombay Dyeing Mill Wadala scheme, INR 100 crore for housing scheme at Kopri Powai, INR 213.23 crore for scheme at Kannamwar Nagar. A provision of INR 50 crore has been made for Vikhroli, Magathane Borivali, Khadakpada Dindoshi. For the scheme in Pahadi Goregaon INR 100 crore has been allotted.
INR 300 crore for Goregaon Siddharth Nagar (Patrachal) project, INR 59 crore for Dharavi Redevelopment Project Phase 1B, INR 10 crore for Goregaon Motilal Nagar redevelopment project, INR 100 crore for redevelopment of Police Housing Project Colony.
MHADA Konkan Board
Construction of 5614 flats is proposed under Konkan division and INR 741.36 crore has been allocated for this in the budget of the year 2023-24. In the budget of the year 2023-24, a provision of INR 10 crore has been made for Virar Bolinj Housing Project, INR 33 crore for Balkum Thane Housing Project, INR 35 crore for Majiwada Thane Joint under the Board. INR 15 crore has been allocated for partnership projects and Mira Road turnkey project.
