The Maharashtra government has launched an initiative to prepare diploma students from the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) for employment opportunities in countries such as Germany, Japan, and Russia.
The programme will focus on providing foreign language training along with technical and workplace skills required for international job markets.
The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), which will assist in designing industry-relevant training modules and facilitating global employment opportunities. Alongside technical expertise, students will be trained in communication skills, cultural understanding, and professional readiness to improve their chances of securing jobs abroad.
Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil stated that the state government will provide the necessary infrastructure, including classrooms and laboratories, to support the programme.
