The current pathetic state of the bridge connecting Mahim's Rhetibandar and Mridang Acharya ground seems to be the result of sheer negligence by BMC. This bridge built in the Causeway Complex was built by BMC 5-6 years ago. This bridge was built for the water tunnel project, although the bridge was built by BMC only for some time. After the completion of the water tunnel project, it was decided to break the bridge. But even after the completion of the work, the Bridge stays put. The iron used in the bridge has gone completely rusted and the ceiling is completely in a damaged state. Despite this, the locals here are using this bridge for their commute. On the other hand, the local leaders of MNS demanded repair of this bridge so that it could be used permanently.
