Under the leadership of Manoj Jarange, a march is being conducted from Antarvali Sarati to Mumbai for Maratha reservation. This padayatra will be routed from Lonavala on Thursday morning via the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Therefore, the highway police has decided to close the traffic going from Pune towards Mumbai on the expressway on Thursday morning during the padayatra.

Manoj Jarange's padayatra will start from Chandannagar Kharadi bypass on Wednesday and reach Lonavala via National Highway 48. Yatra stay will be at Vaksai village near National Highway 48. On Thursday morning, from Lonavala, Mumbai-Pune Expressway will continue to Vashi. Therefore, chain no. km 54/400 on the Mumbai-Pune channel, chain no. km 53/000, km 50/000, km 48/00 on the Pune-Mumbai channel, km 46/200 on the Khandala slope, the bifurcation cut at Khandala tunnel by placing iron or cement barricades temporarily will be closed.


The traffic from Pune towards Mumbai will be closed from Thursday morning until the padayatra continues on the expressway. Khandala Highway Police has informed through a letter that the traffic going to Mumbai will be diverted during this period.
