A massive fire broke out at NTPC building located in Mumbai's Powai area, on Monday, November 30. As per reports, the incident occurred at 6:30 PM on Monday and was reported at around 7:10 PM. 

The fire was classified as Level-1 and broke out in a G+14 structure on the 6th floor of the Mhada Bldg No 14. The building is said to be located near Heera Panna Mall on JVLR in the Powa- Vikhroli West area. Fire engines and rescue teams rushed to the spot to control the situation, and the fire extinguished soon after. No injuries or casualties have been reported so far. 

It is said that the fire broke out due to spark in AC compressor. It is said that the blaze is now spreading across several floors in the building. However, official information regarding the cause of the incident is yet to be announced.

Mumbai Live reader shared the information on Twitter and said, "The fire incident took place at one of the towers of Pancharatna Cooperative Society, Powai where NTPC also has few flats on lease. As soon as the fire was reported, people were cautioned by the fire alarm and everyone was safely moved to the ground floor. Fire tenders were immediately informed and the fire was brought under control. The fire has been completely extinguished and power supply too has been restored post safety checks. No injuries have been reported and everyone in the society is safe."
