The maximum temperature in Mumbai, which has been rising since last week, fell by a few degrees on Thursday, February 4.

Moreover, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that the temperature is not likely to rise next week, but will drop 1 to 2 degrees Celsius below average. The maximum temperature in Mumbai city and suburbs had risen by 6 degrees since last Friday.

In the last four days, the maximum temperature rose from 30 degrees to 36 degrees. According to reports, the maximum temperature was recorded at 31.4 degrees Celsius at Santa Cruz and 30.4 degrees Celsius at Colaba on Thursday. On the other hand, the minimum temperature was recorded at 18.5 degrees Celsius in Santa Cruz and 20.5 degrees Celsius in Colaba on Thursday.

Meanwhile, on February 3 morning, the minimum temperature recorded in the state are, Parbhani 11.9 Degrees Celsius, Nanded 13 Degrees Celsius, Jalna 14.9 Degrees Celsius, A'bad 12.6 Degrees Celsius, Santacruz 18.6 Degrees Celsius, Colaba 21 Degrees Celsius, Dahanu 18.7 Degrees Celsius, Ratnagiri 19.2 Degrees Celsius, Solapur 14.1 Degrees Celsius, Kolhapur 17.3 Degrees Celsius, Osbad 14.4 Degrees Celsius, Sangli 15.9 Degrees Celsius, Nasik 11.3 Degrees Celsius, Jalgaon 10.2 Degrees Celsius, Satara 12.9 Degrees Celsius, MWR 14 Degrees Celsius, Baramati 11.6 Degrees Celsius, Pune 10.7 Degrees Celsius, Malegaon 13.2 Degrees Celsius, and Jeur 11 Degrees Celsius.

Even the air quality deteriorated slightly on Friday, January 29, after improving marginally for the last couple of days with an overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of 227. Moreover, in places like Kurla, Sion and Nerul, the AQI was above 300 in the ‘severe’ category.
