FIR Registered and Investigation Underway

As a result, an FIR was formally registered at the Bandra police station based on the complaint filed by a vigilant constable.

Violation of Motor Vehicle Act

The police action was initiated under section 283 of the Motor Vehicle Act, which deals with improper parking of vehicles. This specific section was invoked due to the alleged violation committed by the Mercedes owner when they parked their vehicle in the no-stopping zone of the bridge.

Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Marathe, in response to the incident, assured the public that further action would be taken as the matter continues to be thoroughly investigated. Restrictions on  Bandra-Worli Sea Link 

Officials had imposed several restrictions and rules to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic. Some of these restrictions included paying a toll fee to use the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, following a speed limit at 50-60 km/h., no overtaking, maintaining lanes and following the traffic flow, no stopping or parking to prevent traffic congestion and maintain the smooth movement of vehicles, and no motorcycles, scooters and/or selected heavy vehicles.
