The Election Commission of India has announced the dates for the Lok Sabha general elections. These elections will be held in a total of seven phases and for this, the Model Code of Conduct has been implemented across the country from last Saturday. Common voters can now complain directly to the Election Commission in case of violation of the code of conduct during this election period. For this, the Election Commission of India has developed 'Civil Citizen App'. Complaints lodged on this app are being processed within the first 100 minutes.

Election candidates, administration and political parties are given information about dos and don'ts during the period of code of conduct. But, sometimes this model code of conduct is violated. It's now easier than ever to report. The Election Commission of India has developed the cVigil app to report or inform the Election Commission and District Administration about violations of the code of conduct. The name of the complainant is kept confidential.

This cVigil app is available for download on Android and iOS devices. To report a violation, users simply need to open the app, select the type of violation, and provide details, location, time, and photo or video of the incident. App users will be able to track the progress of their complaints.
