The T ward of the BMC will be taking back 5000 sq meter plot leased out to the Mulund Gymkhana. The notice has been issued by the concerned department and the ward officer will take charge of the plot on Thursday.

A huge gala party was organized during the BMC elections at this ground. The Sales Tax department had earlier raided the premises too. It turned out that the committee members of the Mulund Gymkhana were treating this plot as their private property.

It was expected that Mulund Gymkhana would maintain this plot and provide services to the public, but as loval big wigs are on the committee, they have been using the plot for their private functions and events without any permissions from the BMC. People were supposed to have unrestricted access to the ground, but the gymkhana constructed a compound wall cutting the access.

Following various complaints from the local, The T ward has decided to take back the plot.
