Mumbai's IT Department sets up 24x7 Control Room to Curb Misuse of Money Power during Elections

The Income Tax Department is committed to curb the misuse of money power during the upcoming  Legislative Assembly of Maharashtra.

IT department in Mumbai is committed to curb the misuse of money power during the upcoming Maharashtra State Legislative Assembly Election, 2024. With a view to ensure free and fair elections and maintain purity of election, an election expenditure monitoring mechanism consisting of a 24x7 control room has been set up by the Income-Tax Department, Mumbai. This will be in operation till Model Code of Conduct (MCC) is in force. This is to enable the conscientious public and the denizens of the state to provide information regarding cash and valuables utilised in electioneering purposes.
