Prime Minister Narendra Modi '3D Selfie Booth' and Prime Minister Narendra Modi '3D Selfie Points' were set up in various departments of Indian Railways to provide information about various schemes of the Centre. 3D selfie booths and points were set up in 50 important stations of five divisions of Central Railway. A total of INR 1.62 crore was spent for it.


Model Code of Conduct for Lok Sabha Elections has been implemented. Hence, 3D selfie booths and points with images and statues of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been removed. Also, as the blocked space at the railway stations has been vacated.

In order to reach the various schemes of the Central Government to the citizens like skill India, Digital India Hum Hain Digital, Hum Hai Naya Bharat, Space Power Naya Bharat, Naya Bharat (Home) Awas Ki Shakti, Gas Dhuen Se Mukti -Ujjwal Ki Shakti, Har Ghar Jal-Jal Jeevan Mission, Digital India Hum Hai Digital, '3D Selfie Booth' and '3D Selfie Points' were set up at the Central Railway station. These booths and points have been set up in ten stations in each of the five divisions of Central Railway namely Mumbai, Pune, Solapur, Bhusawal, Nagpur.


Booths and points were set up in 30 stations out of 50 railway stations on a temporary basis and on a permanent basis in 20 stations. A whopping INR 1.25 lakh was charged for a temporary selfie point. INR 6.25 lakh was spent to set up a permanent selfie point. Temporary booths and points were removed. Also now that the code of conduct has come into force, permanent booths and points at 20 stations have been removed.


Hasty transfer of a railway official due to booths and points

Expenditure on Prime Minister Narendra Modi '3D Selfie Booth' and Prime Minister Narendra Modi '3D Selfie Points' set up in the Central Railway Division was provided under Right to Information. Based on this information, the opposition party leaders protested against the Modi government on social media. He commented that the hard earned money of common Indians is being wasted on advertising. Therefore, the senior railway officer who gave this information was hastily transferred.
