Amid the scorching heat, Mumbaikars are facing frequent water supply disruptions. Now, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a 100 per cent water cut on April 23 and 24 in the suburban areas of Goregaon, Malad and Kandivali.
According to BMC's hydraulic department, replacement of the main water supply pipeline at Virwani Industrial Estate, Western Express Highway, Goregaon (East), will take place. During the process, a 600 mm diameter water pipe will be replaced with a 900 mm diameter water line. The water supply will remain remain shut from 10 am on 23 April to 10 am on 24 April.
