21-day training classes for swimming training will be started in ten swimming pools of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) during the summer vacation. This training class will start from May 2 and the registration for it will be done completely online. Its link will be activated on April 24 from 11:00 am onwards. Also, the second session of training will start from May 23.
Apart from being a sport, swimming is also a great form of exercise. 10 swimming pools of the Municipal Corporation are operational to provide opportunities for sports and exercise to Mumbaikars. However, aspirants often stay away from this sport due to lack of scientific training in swimming. For Mumbaikars who want to learn the art of swimming, the BMC has provided an opportunity for training classes this summer.
These training classes are organised under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Bhushan Gagrani and Additional Municipal Commissioner Amit Saini. A modest fee has been charged for this swimming training and INR 2,100 rupees will be charged for children up to 15 years of age, citizens above 60 years of age, disabled persons, and INR 3,150 rupees for citizens aged 16 to 60 years. Swimming training will be conducted daily in three sessions from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
