On Sunday, October 24, for the fourth consecutive day, the night temperature in the city continued to be normal/below normal. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD)'s Santacruz observatory, the temperature was 22.9 degrees Celsius, while the average minimum temperature for October is 23.8 degrees Celsius.

On Saturday, October 23, the average minimum temperature was 22.6 degrees Celsius, the lowest temperature recorded for this month so far. Meteorologists have said a dip in the temperature due to the strong landward winds coming from the sea towards the evening has caused a drop in the temperature.

The city is not experiencing any rains, and hence the relative humidity has also reduced in Mumbai. Last week, the relative humidity was from 80-85%, while this week, the relative humidity was from 60-67 per cent. On Sunday, October 24, the relative humidity in the evening was at 60 per cent.

Over the next week, the city will witness a minimum temperature hovering around 23 to 24 degrees Celsius and have clear skies, as per the IMD's seven-day forecast for Mumbai. On Sunday, October 24, as per the IMD's Santacruz observatory, the day temperature was 32.8 degrees Celsius.

Last week it was reported that the morning temperature in Mumbai was getting cooler as there has been a southwest monsoon withdrawal for the past weeks.
