A cop in Mumbai has received social media acclaim for his dance videos on Instagram. These posts have seen thousands of likes and comments so far. Amol Yashwant Kamble, 38, is posted at the Naigaon Police Headquarters and dances when he’s off duty or after finishing work.
The uniqueness of his dancing caught the attention of Instagram users after he posted one of his videos on the platform. A resident of Mahim, Kamble said that dancing has been a passion since his younger days.

“My elder brother is a choreographer and I did some dance shows with him before joining the police force,” Kamble said.
“As a policeman, I have a responsibility to maintain law and order and to protect citizens first, but on my weekly offs, I dance with my children, my sister”s children and have fun,” he added.

One of his most popular uploads is of him dancing to the song “Aaya Hai Raja” from the film Appu Raja.
“The dance was based on the theme of an on-duty policeman asking a two-wheeler rider to wear his mask properly, and later both of them show their dance moves,” Kamble explained.
Kamble is well aware of the positive impact his videos can have on people. “Some people comment on my videos and say my dance inspires them. These comments make me happy. People should pursue their hobbies and take some time out to follow their passion and think positively,” he said.
