The water storage in all the seven dams that supply water to Mumbai is increasing daily. The water storage here, which decreased to 6.49 percent last Saturday, reached 12.85 percent in eight days. At present, there is continuous rain in the dam area and 100 to 150 mm of rain is being recorded there every day.

This year, due to prolonged monsoon and extreme heat, the water storage in the dams was very low. As there was no rain till the third week of June, on June 25, there was 6.49 percent water storage in the dams. However, due to the heavy rains that started in the fourth week of June, the water storage started to increase.
