According to the latest reports, on Sunday, February 27, considerable parts of Mumbai faced a power outage. The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) PRO elaborated on how owing to the tripping of the MSEB 220kv Transmission line on Mulund -Trombay the power supply to many parts of Mumbai has been affected.

On the other hand, the Western Railways commented on how due to the power outage between Andheri and Churchgate from 9.42 am the local train movement was affected.
Some accounts go on to claim that areas such as Sion, Matunga, Parel, Dadar, CSMT, Byculla, Churchgate, amongst others have been affected. Presently, the restoration work is in progress.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) took to Twitter saying, "Due to some technical issues, there has been power supply failure at many parts of the city. Our team is on the field to resolve the issue. The power supply is expected to be restored in an hour. We regret the inconvenience."

The civic body shared the contact details of the Disaster management control room of MCGM: 02222694725 /02222694727 /02261234000 that citizens can contact for any assistance owing to the power failure.
Officials were then quoted in narratives elucidating that the power supply was being restored gradually in part of south Mumbai and eventually central Mumbai as well.
Additionally, the BEST PRO remarked that at 10.53 am the power supply was restored. With this, all systems of traction, signalling and control application on MMCT were normal.
