A fire broke out in a residential building in Gokuldham Colony, Goregaon East, Mumbai, on Sunday evening. The incident occurred in a flat on the 6th floor of a high-rise building.

Fire brigade teams quickly reached the spot and worked to control the flames. The fire caused heavy smoke, which spread through parts of the building and created panic among residents. Several people were safely evacuated.

During the incident, a 72-year-old woman was rescued from the affected flat and rushed to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared her dead on arrival.
