Voting begins across city, suburbs

Mumbai- Voting for the BMC elections began in right earnest and amid heavy security in Mumbai city and suburbs.

A total of 2275 candidates are contesting a seat on the 227 wards. Voting that begin at 7.30 am, will continue till 5.30 pm. Over 35000 police personnel have been deployed acoss the city and at 7304 polling booths, of which 729 have been declared extra sensitive.
