Former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and veteran actress Jaya Bachchan had sought permission from the Marine Zone Management Authority for additional construction at their bungalow in Mumbai. The Marine Zone Management Authority has given them permission with terms and conditions. Therefore, both of them will now have a new construction in their respective bungalows.
Sachin Tendulkar's bungalow is located next to the beach in the Carter Road area of Perry Cross Road. As per current construction, this bungalow has lower basement, upper basement, ground floor and three floors. The construction of this bungalow was permitted in the year 2011 as per Floor Space Index (FSI). After that it increased. However, a few days ago, Tendulkar had applied for permission for additional construction in this bungalow. Through this application, he sought permission to construct the fifth floor. This application has been approved by the Marine Zone Management Authority. So Sachin Tendulkar will now be able to do additional construction.
Along with Sachin Tendulkar, veteran actress Jaya Bachchan also sought permission to construct a new floor in her 'Jalsa' bungalow. They too have been given permission by the Marine Zone Management Authority. As per the current construction of their 'Jalsa' bungalow, there is a basement, ground floor and two more floors. However, the construction of the second floor is incomplete. They have been given permission to complete this construction as well as build one more floor.
