The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday, December 13, recorded the lowest temperature at 19.4 degrees Celsius.

This is the second time this season that minimum temperature dipped below 20 degrees. Earlier, on November 30, the minimum temperature had dipped below 20 degrees, touching 19.7 degrees.

On Wednesday early morning, December 13, the minimum temperature recorded by IMD Santacruz observatory was 19.4 degrees while the IMD Colaba observatory recorded minimum temperatures of 21.5 degrees.

Moreover, daytime temperatures recorded in the city were also pleasant. IMD Colaba and Santacruz observatories recorded maximum temperature of 30.8 degrees Celsius and 32.4 degrees Celsius respectively.

Meanwhile, the minimum temperature was recorded at 22.8 and 20.5 degrees Celsius respectively.

IMD officials said that over the next week the temperature may dip gradually. The temperature will continue to be pleasant and there could be a gradual drop further between December 15 and 16, officials stated.

This month the city also recorded unseasonal rains and both Santacruz and Colaba recorded a total rainfall of 8 mm and 39 mm respectively so far this month.
