Mumbai: Students of municipal school in Chembur suffer food poisoning

16 students were poisoned by the mid-day meal distributed to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) led school in Chembur. All these children are currently admitted to Shatabdi Hospital in Govandi and the hospital informed that the condition of all of them is stable.

As usual, mid-day meal came to the municipal school in Vaak village area of Chembur around 10:00 am on Friday. Students in classes VI and VII started experiencing nausea and vomiting shortly after being given this meal. After the teachers noticed this, they immediately admitted the children to Shatabdi Hospital. Sunil Pakle, Chief Superintendent of Shatabdi Hospital informed that these students are currently undergoing treatment and their condition is stable.
