On Friday, April 15, Mumbaikars plying through the Western Express Highway (WEH) from Goregaon towards Andheri, faced massive vehicular congestion in the morning.

A commuter while talking to Mumbai Live elaborated on how a truck loaded with goods rammed into the edge of the flyover near Hub Mall in Goregaon. The commuter further remarked that nearly 15 fire brigade personnel were on the spot, attempting to remove the truck.

Another traveller also took to Twitter to share their woes, by highlighting that traffic jam was seen from Malad east to Andheri east on the WEH.

The traveller added that they were stuck near the Aarey Flyover for almost 40 minutes. Another passenger said that there was a traffic jam near Oberoi Mall in Goregaon too.

Despite being a bank holiday, this traffic congestion was seen during the peak hours.

However, given the way the truck has collided, it is likely to take time. With the front of the truck hit, pieces of glass were scattered far and wide on the highway. Until the truck is cleared, major traffic jam on the WEH is expected.
