On Thursday night, January 28, an ST bus met with an accident on the western expressway, according to sources.

Moreover, the driver has reportedly absconded. As per reports, the bus was involved in an accident and overturned, causing a traffic jam on the highway for some time.

According to the information received, the ST driver fled the scene after the accident, while the conductor has been arrested by the police. Fortunately, no passengers were seriously injured in the accident. The accident took place at night on the Goregaon bridge on the expressway.

Moreover, the ST bus was heading towards Mumbai from Dahisar area when it overturned on the road. Three people were travelling on the bus at the time of the accident. One of the passengers was injured. After the bus overturned, the driver of the bus passed by the spot due to which the police arrested the conductor.

The ST bus overturned on a busy highway, causing a traffic jam for some time. The overturned bus was then removed from the road. However, as the bus driver fled the scene after the accident, the cause of the accident could not be ascertained.

On the other hand, with the state government deciding to resume schools for 5th to 8th standard from January 27, all department controllers in the state have been instructed to start the ST bus pass facility for the students. According to sources, students who need passes are to be met by the headmaster of the school under the jurisdiction of ST's Agar Manager. In addition, the general manager of ST has also ordered to start school rounds immediately if there is a need to start new rounds.
