In the next two years all the roads of Mumbai will be pothole free, said Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde adding that there will be emphasis on infrastructure in the city as it is the financial capital of the country.

He was speaking in a function by presenting his vision of tomorrow in 'Majha Maharashtra Majha Vision' organised at BKC in Mumbai.

Shinde also stated that emphasis will be placed on beautification of Mumbai, development of Koliwadis, cleaning of quadrangle. The CM also added that this government is working by giving priority to the development of Mumbai. There is a trust towards Maharashtra in the country and in the world.

At the Economic Forum in Davos, an agreement of more than INR 1.5 lakh crores was signed, so he expressed the belief that Maharashtra will achieve the 1 trillion target of the Prime Minister's 5 trillion target.

Maharashtra is a major industrial city of the country and a large amount of direct investment is happening here. The state's share in exports is high and new good initiatives have been taken for development. Permits are being issued fast for industries to come to the state. On this occasion, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that favourable environment is being given to the industries and due to this a large number of employment opportunities will be created in the state.

In addition, the Nagpur-Mumbai Samridhi Highway has increased road connectivity in the state and will give a big boost to the economy. Along with this, Shinde said that eco-friendly corridors are being built and there will be no harm to the environment.

Besides, creation of new colonies in the state, eradication of slums, use of modern technology for flamingos, 400 MW through solar energy to take the state forward.

Emphasis is being laid on creating 18 new projects to generate electricity, farmers get abundant water for agriculture, and bring new technology to increase the production of farmers.
