Mumbaikars are always vocal about their opinions and once again they have ranked as the most enthusiastic in the state for expressing their opinion on the cleanliness efforts in the city. The residents of Mumbai led the numbers with 20,056 people providing feedback in the Swachh Survekshan 2018.

Citizen feedback is vital for deciding the cleanliness rankings of the cities in the annual survey conducted by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The ministry allots the rankings of 4,041 cities which should be out by next month.

Multiple ways to provide feedback include the Swachh Survekshan web portal, telephone calls, face-to-face interviews, interactive voice response and its official mobile application. The BMC put a lot of emphasis on marketing the mobile application, Swachhata-MoHUA and urged people to download the application to put up their responses.
