The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a rise of up to 37-38 degrees Celsius over the next couple of days.

With this, Mumbaikars will have to brace up for the simmering heat in the city after a respite from the season’s hottest temperatures recorded last week. However, in a slight relief, meteorologists maintained that no heatwave will be sounded as of now.

On Monday, March 25, IMD’s regional meteorological centre in Mumbai recorded below normal temperatures. Colaba observatory registered a maximum temperature of 31 degrees while the Santacruz observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius. Moreover, the daytime temperature on Tuesday afternoon, March 26, was hovering around 31-32 degrees Celsius.
