The financial capital of India, Mumbai, is soon to welcome a large number of tourists from home and abroad to enjoy a jungle safari on the Malabar Hills.

According to sources, this new tourist destination will be shaped in a way that the wildlife is not endangered. Moreover, a tree-top walkway on Malabar Hill. G. A road from Kamla Nehru Park on Kher Marg directly down the hill to Tambe Chowk on Girgaum Chowpatty has been built there so that the holes in the hill do not become a nuisance.

The 'D' division office of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to set up a facility for tourists to take a short jungle trek on this tree-lined hill. The existing steps will be repaired and elevated corridors will be erected to ensure that the trees and wildlife are not endangered.

From this route, tourists will enjoy the jungle safari and see the endless sea. After torrential rains, lots of water from the hill come to Tambe Chowk and surrounding areas. Therefore, if the safari was built on a mountain, it may be unsafe in the rainy season. Therefore, it has been decided to build an elevated corridor, officials said.

Malabar Hill is home to a variety of birds, including snakes, mongooses and lizards. The road will be about 780 meters long. The safari will start from Gagangiri Maharaj Fata on Malabar Hill and tourists will reach there again after completing the journey.

After completing the jungle tour, a way will be provided to go out near Tambe Chowk and Babulnath Temple on Girgaon Chowpatty. The project is expected to cost around approximately INR 10 crores. However, it has not yet been decided whether to charge for the jungle safari.
