Sumit Mogare, a young entrepreneur from a family belonging to the Warkari sect of Nanded, donated a silver brick weighing 30 kg and 900 grams to the Shree Ganesh Mandir Sansthan for the renovation of the sanctum sanctorum of Shree Ganesha Temple on Phadke Street in Dombivli on Saturday. The price of this silver is 25 lakh rupees as per the market price. Shri Ganesha Temple has completed its centenary. On this occasion, the Sansthan has taken up the work of beautification and renovation of the temple.


The work of renovation of the sanctum sanctorum of Shri Ganesha temple has been going on since last year by the temple institute. This work is being done through donations and public participation. Sumit Mogare, a young entrepreneur from Nanded, is ready to donate 30 kg of silver brick to the Shri Ganesha temple in Dombivli on the instructions of Minister Chavan.

On Saturday, the brick was handed over to Alka Mutalik, president of the temple institute. Entrepreneur Mogare has gifted two and a half crores of silver Meghadambari to Vitthal temple in Pandharpur two months ago. Donations are made to various religious institutions by the Mogre family of the Warkari sect who are always at the forefront of social and religious work. It is in this spirit that we have donated silver bricks to Shree Ganesha temple of Dombivli, said entrepreneur Mogre.


About 150 kg of silver is required for the renovation of the temple sanctum sanctorum. Donors are contributing to this initiative. Entrepreneur Mogare has donated a silver brick to the temple through a similar initiative. The rest of the sanctum sanctorum work will be taken up from this silver, Trustee Damle said.
