National Lok Adalat to be held in Thane and Palghar districts on April 10

In a recently made announcement, the National Lok Adalat will be held on April 10, 2021, across all the Taluka, Family, Labor, Co-operative and other courts in Thane and Palghar districts. Reports state that a variety of cases will be looked upon and all parties are urged to attend the court and make the most of the opportunity

The Lok Adalat will function under the guidance of District and Sessions Court Chief RM Joshi. Furthermore, it has come to light that this mode of people's court initiative is proving to be beneficial in resolving disputes amicably. Therefore, the National People's Courts are being organized every year to settle disputes through the format.

In the last year, only two Lok Adalat sessions were held due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. But now, a total of four Lok Adalat sessions have already been announced this year, the first of which, will be held on April 10, 2021, whereby as per the directions of Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority, Mumbai, these will be set up in all types of courts across Thane and Palghar districts

Furthermore,  civil, criminal, marital, 138 n. Income. Cases filed under the Act, bank recovery cases, motor accident compensation, family disputes, labor disputes, land acquisition cases, electricity and water payment cases, revenue and pre-filing cases will be considered in the court for settlement.
