
Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has announced that water supply will be suspended for 24 hours in many parts of the city from 10 am on May 13 to 10 am on May 14 due to essential maintenance work on the Morbe water pipeline.
Impact on water supply due to essential maintenance work
According to the information provided by the municipality, repairs of the 2,000 mm diameter balancing tank at Belapur, connection work of large water pipes and other technical improvements will be carried out. Therefore, water supply will be completely suspended in many parts of the NMMC area during this period.
Officials from the water supply department of NMMC said, “Important maintenance work has been undertaken to make the water distribution system more efficient. Citizens should cooperate with the administration by storing sufficient water.”
Service restored after completion of work
Municipal officials said that these works are necessary to ensure more reliable and uninterrupted water supply in the future. Water supply will be restored in a phased manner after the maintenance work is completed.
